Experimental and Numerical Investigations on Hydraulic Barrier Bottom Plug for Deep Excavations A Case Study

In Vietnam, the solution of designing and constructing deep foundation pits with geology sandy or clayey sand is very difficult, especially in case soil mix mud. some pits, unreasonable treatment causes bottom plug pit to be pushed up not pump a dried. Solving those problems, this article introduces particular study, sealing for no14 Yen Xa drainage works Jet grouted hydraulic barriers. To treat soft layer, organic without breaking upper layers, uses Jet-grouting technology mixture materials including cement, fly ash, blast furnace slag, lime reasonable proportion ensure waterproof uplift massive barriers when excavating pit. Results calculation acceptance after completed show that good solution, high reliability can applied seal similar geological conditions.
